The MATRIX 55 is an advanced automatic cutting line developed by GMS engineering that brings speed and automation to heavy steel processing. Built for high production volumes, with advanced touch-panel control and minimal operator input, it gives steel plants efficiency and flexibility.
Automatic feeding and discharge system
Bars are fed automatically at the head of the line and routed into the collection hopper after cutting. The system lowers labour costs and optimises production flow.
High cutting accuracy
The system works to an accuracy of ±3 mm, keeping the margin of error minimal on every cut. Length sensors and a servo-motor-controlled cutting unit deliver consistently accurate results.
Touchscreen control panel
The 10.1″ colour touchscreen makes programming simple through a user-friendly interface. Different dimensions and cut quantities can be predefined, enabling flexible series production.
Adjustable hopper and collection unit
Cut bars are separated by length and routed into different hoppers. The collection module ensures orderly stacking, speeds up the workflow and improves workplace safety.

The MATRIX 55S combines automatic material feeding with powerful hydraulic cutting technology, enabling the efficient processing of large volumes of rebar with reduced staffing – fast, precise and reliable.
Automatic feeding and unloading
Rebar is fed automatically to the cutting unit via the roller system and ejected hydraulically to one side after the cut. This reduces manual work and ensures a continuous production flow.

Hydraulic cut & one-sided unloading
The powerful hydraulic system cuts bars up to Ø55 mm at 250 bar. Cut bars are stacked in order to one side by the hydraulic unloading system, while the manual collection-trough arms can be set flexibly.
PLC-controlled production management
Thanks to the PLC control system and the 10.1-inch digital screen, all production parameters are managed precisely. The remote-access function allows the machine status to be monitored and adjusted from afar.
